As You Fade

The clouds drift over the ocean ,
the blue water shimmers,
as the sun sets,
splashing it with red,
making it look like the sun slit it wrists.
The river flows to the waterfalls,
the falls look like a thousand tears of pain,
the many drops shine like crystals
splashing the falls with unreal colors.
The rain starts to fall lightly,
I stand as the droplets slowly drizzle,
splashing against my skin,
as the cool tears surround me,
encasing me in their protection.
your arms wrap around me,
as your sweet lips caress my neck,
you say the words I long to hear,
those that are, I love you dear.
I wish for you to never let me go,
as the rain starts to slow,
the feel of your kisses,
dissolve as you fade
and I am left alone
standing in the dark
until the rain comes again
